Serving at the altar is a great opportunity to offer loving service to Our Lord during the celebration of the holiest event in our week - the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.  Altar Servers fulfill a three-fold task:

1. They assist the priest and deacons in the sanctuary with whatever is required in order to celebrate Holy Mass effectively, reverently and beautifully.
2. They act as models to guide the congregation of the faithful during Holy Mass, demonstrating the decorum, responses, gestures and postures that all should have during the celebration.
3. They take the place of angels in Heaven, offering worship and loving service to Christ Our King in the sanctuary.

We will be holding bi-monthly practices for all new and experienced altar servers on the 2nd Sunday of every month. Practices begin immediately following Sunday Mass (approx. 11:00am) and will last for about an hour, with pizza lunch to follow.
