All meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of every Month beginning after mass at 7:30pm.

We are beginning our annual membership drive!  We welcome existing members and new members to explore the Catholic Women's League new welcome program.

Join our dynamic and diverse council in serving Christ and His Church, growing in faith, and serving the greater community.  Some of our council's good works include:

• Baby Shower for Jesus: collecting baby items for at-risk mothers and their babies
• Save-a-Family Plan: we support a family in India
• Annual $500 scholarship for a deserving HCC student
• Annual gift of $500 to SHA for their Bible program
• Gift card drives for the Strathmore Overnight Shelter
• Inviting retreat speakers, such as the Sisters of Divine Mercy
• Supporting pro-life initiatives, such as the Hike for Life, Euthanasia Prevention
• Esk-Omi Missions in Canada
• Supporting Catholic post-secondary institutions: St. Mary's University and Our Lady Seat of Wisdom College
• Building friendships and camaraderie within our parish community
• and much more!

Lenten Gift Card Drive
We will once again be collecting gift cards (in small denominations) for local restaurants to donate to the Strathmore Overnight Shelter and its patrons.  You can drop off your donation in a clearly labelled envelope at Mass, or at the parish office.  Contact person: Penny Rohatynsky

Storefront School Breakfast Program
Members volunteer their time the 2nd Thursday of each month to prepare breakfast for students. All supplies are provided.

Catholic Education Support
We encourage members to continue to voice their support for Catholic Education. There are many ways this can be done, including joining GrACE. There is also more information on the Provincial League’s website. Links:  GRACE, Grace CTR, and here.

Rose by the Altar
If you or someone you know from our parish has recently had a baby, the CWL would like to welcome you and your newest addition to the parish community! We do this by placing a rose by the altar during Mass, and presenting it to your family at the end of Mass. For more information or to be a part of this, please contact Emily Rochford.

The Catholic Women's League of Canada calls its members to grow in faith, and to witness to the love of God through ministry and service.  We are always looking for new members and for those who are looking to take on a leadership role. Please contact our president for more information.

CWL MEMBERSHIP DRIVE:

The CWL Membership Drive is on as we welcome back all our current members and we reach out to all ladies who may be interested in the league.

The objects of the League shall be to unite Catholic Women of Canada:

1. To achieve individual & collective spiritual development
2. To promote the teachings of the Catholic Church
3. To exemplify the Christian ideal in home & family life
4. To protect the sanctity of human life
5. To enhance the role of women in church & society
6. To recognize the human dignity of all people everywhere
7. To uphold & defend Christian education & values in the modern world
8. To contribute to the understanding and growth of religious freedom, social justice, peace and harmony.

Our organization helps not just on a parish/community level. We also take part in a regional, provincial and national level. It is a fantastic way to make great friends with other Catholic women in our parish and do many wonderful things within our local community.

We have informative spiritual teachings at the beginning of the meetings which start at 7:30PM following Holy Mass on the second Tuesday of each month, excluding July and August. Do as much as you wish or just come and be a part of it all for the fellowship.
